THLG Membership Application

While the Group's membership is largely European, applications are welcome from any country in any continent.  Members do not have exclusivity in their countries of operation, any party applying for membership will be carefully vetted with regard to its experience in specialized transportation of heavy lift and oversized cargoes, quality of service, reliability, financial stability etc.

Most important will be the ability and dedication of an applicant to strengthen the Group and to give his best efforts to  “Power in Unity”, the Group’s motto.

The applicant will be in contact in the first instance with the Membership Development Executive for the complete submission of the above details.

Existing members who may have knowledge of the applicant are asked by the Membership Development Executive, in full confidence, for information and any objections to the application.

The Membership Development Executive reports his findings and recommendations with regard to an applicant to the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee can then approve the applicant to make a presentation at the next conference (usually held in April and October).

The applicant is invited to make a 15-minute presentation at the conference and answer any questions of the members present at the conference.

The applicant has to deposit before this conference a one-year applicant fee (euro 2800)

The members present at the conference vote by majority vote to grant or decline THLG membership to the applicant.

(If unsuccessful Euro 2,000 of the application fee is refunded.)
