Sogebras / Promaritime / Riedl - THLG coöperation - Delivery to Airbus in France

Riedl Germany was nominated to transport a 100 metric tonne autoclave from Coesfeld to the Airbus factory of Nantes (France) via Rotterdam.

The operations in France were subcontracted to Promaritime Rouen who nominated their partner Sogebras in Nantes (French member of the THLG Group) for the local operations.

In the early afternoon of December 2sd, the autoclave was discharged with two 250 mt lifting capacity cranes. It was then transported by truck to the Airbus factory in Nantes Bouguenais during the night. The main city bridge (Cheviré Bridge) had to be closed down to all other traffic as the oversized load was hauled across. Delay was no option since there was no other available transport in the next three coming months.

But, thanks to the close collaboration between collaboration of Riedl /Promaritime /Sogebras, this operation was a great success which gave great satisfaction to Airbus.
