FOX Brasil | Project Logistics has shipped this week a backpressure turbine (L 6,10 x W 4,20 x H 3,20 m) + its accessories from Brazil to North America.
What makes this project special is that our customer has a sustainable business model to produce paper without cutting down trees, co-generate green energy with the steam turbine we are shipping and recycle water from our industrial processes. The outmost would be to engage recycling on the already existing sustainability process. For one single ton of paper produced, it is needed about 250 CBM of water. Through investments on new technologies on this equipment, the recycling of the very same 250 CBM of water, can reach a 92% level of recycling.
FOX Brasil’s project team intensively worked on the complete planning and execution for the road transportation, from the shipper up to the port of loading. Main challenge was to manage the logistics restrictions during the covid-19 peak:
- Deadline to get the road permits
- Restrictions for out of gauge cargo and adverse weather conditions
- Find a suitable vessel to assure the cargo handling safety
- Under deck shipment guaranteed
- Shortest transit time to avoid delay on project kick at job site
We could accomplish with all the safety requirements on the road and at the port, making sure we pursue the global action and contingency plans. A safe move not only to our clients, but also for our partners and team.
