Emad has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He has been active in the logistics industry since 1994 in addition to being one of the founding members of the Jordanian Logistics Association.

Emad is the CEO & Founder of 7 Seas Logistics in 2002.

Tell us about 7 Seas Logistics Co. Who owns the company?

Seven Seas Logistics Services Company was established at the turn of the 21st century as a privately owned business with a group of young, ambitious, yet experienced people. The combination of expertise in addition to the fact that we are conducting business in a hot region of the world made us one of the few companies you can go to, when you need shipments delivered inside Iraq. And we have always been at the top of the airfreight export business with many plaques received from the airlines.

Where are your offices located?

Our company is Jordanian based with branches at all of the country’s entry points, while we have expanded with owned offices in Iraq, Lebanon, China(GZ) and Libya.

What is 7 Seas Logistics specialty and service range?

The long-term projects and oversized cargo are our main areas of expertise, with partnerships that give us access to a huge trailer fleet, additionally to the sea & air export / import and sea consolidation with customs brokerage services.

Tell us about projects that you have handled recently.

For the last 3 years we have handled the Oil-Shale power plant (China Energy Engineering Group), which included the local transport of more than 220000 Freight Tons, over 3000 Containers, 470 Shipments, from Aqaba port to the jobsite with customs clearance. Additionally, in the last month we have delivered the largest package to have ever been hauled in the city streets of Jordan to Arab Potash Company.

Is the o/g licensing procedure time consuming or expensive in Jordan?

The demand on the service has made the government recently change the laws which made it a documents-demanding and expensive procedure.

Are there any special customs procedures or particularities in Jordan?

All merchandises pay customs duties and taxes except for the mega-national projects that have duties and tax exemption. We have experience in handling the exemption procedure which lies under various government departments depending on the type of project.

Which are the things that may cause problems or delays when conducting a project cargo operation in Jordan?

No secret that the government routine is a common concern everywhere. Based on our accumulated experience we do overcome this routine by familiarizing with the procedure over the years.

What is your advantage against competition? Why you stand out?

By investing in our team and ensure that our services always meet the job requirements - our dedication to the job has gone as far as we were still fully functional even during the time of the pandemic lockdown.

What made you join the industry?

It's a family trade from which I inherited the passion to excel in the industry.

What do you like the most about your business?

I believe our industry is one of the most interesting careers anyone can have, the feeling of closing and finishing the job is satisfying.
