AI: a friend or an enemy to the engineers?

Dear THLG members,

Our marketing team is working full stem ahead trying to secure as many promotional opportunities for our members.

In this context, we are coming to you with an opportunity to contribute content for the Breakbulk magazine, free of charge.

We’re hearing now that risk assessments are being written by AI or AI is at least drafting them, as well as engineering drawings. Engineers are worried now that certain drawings that they’ve been doing manually for a long time may get replaced by AI. So there is a question raised on how AI may be inching some engineers out of the way.

This topic has been discussed on the editorial board of Breakbulk Events and Media and if we can contribute with input it’s rather possible that it will be used on their published article with clear reference on your company as member of THLG.

So, on behalf of THLG, I wish to extent an invitation to any of you who is familiar with the topic and would be willing to accept the challenge. An overview of what’s expected is available on request, so please, reach out to me by email and I’ll be happy to share.

Do let us know by the end of the month if you would like to contribute with content on AI.

The deadline for the actual submission of the article is the 22nd August (BB magazine issue 5), so there is plenty of time to work on it.

We must grasp every opportunity to promote our services and the THLG community in general, so I really hope we will find a few aspiring writers among us!

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

Sincerely,

Elisabeth Cosmatos
