Fund raising to help with fire disaster in Greece

Dear fellow THLG members,

As you all probably know, Greece has been struck by one of the worst fire disasters in the country’s history resulting in the death of 91 people so far and estimates are that, unfortunately, the death toll will rise. It has been a really hard time for our country and the recovery process will be very long and difficult.

From the first moment many members of THLG expressed their concern and support for the disaster and for that we would like to thank you deeply.

Especially, Mladen Ganchev of Holleman BG, who proposed a fund raising to help fellow Greeks cope with the disaster.

Following this, the Lyreio Foundation in Attica, an orphanage and shelter for the elderly, has suffered heavy damages from the fire rendering it uninhabitable.

Many buildings of the complex, as well as, power and water connections are completely destroyed and the buses/vans that used to serve their needs and the transportation of the children are all burnt.

For anyone who would like to help with the restoration of the Foundation, you can make a donation to the following account details:

IBAN: GR4601720300005030005943722
SWIFT CODE: PIRBGRAA
BANK: PIRAEUS BANK
BENEFICIARY: LYREIO PAIDIKO IDRYMA

Once again, we would like to express our gratitude for your support.

Thank you very much and wishes for more pleasant posts in the future.
