Invitation to Stand for ExCom Elections at The Heavy Lift Group Conference

Dear Members of The Heavy Lift Group,

We are happy to announce that during the upcoming conference in The Hague, we will be conducting elections for the Executive Committee (ExCom). This is a significant opportunity for passionate individuals within our community to actively contribute to the direction and initiatives of our organization.  With three ExCom, and one ad hoc position to be filled, we invite members who meet the criteria outlined in The Heavy Lift Group’s Articles of Association to consider standing as candidates.

It is important to note that three current members of the ExCom are concluding their tenure. While they are willing to continue their contributions if reelected, we warmly encourage any interested members to participate in the election procedure.

According to the THLG Articles of Association, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Only representatives of the members are eligible as Executive Committee members.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years membership to apply for the elections.

Furthermore, we would like to provide additional information and general rules regarding the voting procedure:

  • Voting will be conducted by secret ballot.
  • Only one representative of each member can vote.
  • Newly elected Executive Committee members will assume office immediately after the meeting in which they were elected and will take the place of their predecessor on the roster of resignations.

Prior to the election procedure, each candidate will have 2-3 minutes to present themselves to the members present. The first three candidates with the highest number of votes will fill the three ExCom vacancies, while the following candidate will fill the Ad hoc vacancy.

If you are interested in volunteering for the Executive Committee, please inform us by email at [email protected] and [email protected].

Thank you for your ongoing support and engagement with The Heavy Lift Group.
