It’s a Wrap! The Hague – THLG 72nd Conference

Dear THLG members,

It’s been some time since we wrapped up the 72nd THLG Conference in The Hague, and with a bit of distance, it’s clear just how valuable our time together was. We left with fresh ideas, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of direction for the months ahead.  Let’s reflect on what we did:

Our interactions started with our round table discussions that brought members together around seven tables, each focused on a different area of expertise. Members shared updates, exchanged experiences, discussed current challenges and opportunities in the various areas of interest.

That evening’s Welcome Dinner brought everyone together in a warm and easy-going setting that set the tone for the days ahead.

Conference Day began on a meaningful note with a meaningful group hug among the women of THLG. It was a genuine and simple moment of connection that reflected the inclusive spirit of the group.

Staying the course of our strategic development, we welcomed seven new member companies:

  • Unotrans (Honduras)
  • Tanta (Slovenia)
  • Rohlig SUUS (Poland)
    Dacotrans SA (Guatemala)
  • Rhenus Project Logistics AG (Switzerland)
  • FH Bertling (UK)
  • MFC (UAE)

We were also introduced to our new communications partner, JLA Media, who presented their approach to supporting THLG’s marketing going forward.

The ExCom provided an update on all ongoing internal matters.

Special emphasis was placed on the ExCom’s ongoing efforts to ensure that our carefully selected member base remains active and engaged, along with the necessary actions to maintain that commitment.

The day featured a strong panel discussion on our main conference topic “Offshore Logistics”, and two distinguished keynote speakers, Susann Schäfer-Biscan from the Wilhemshaven Energy Hub and Giuseppe Alberti of Spliethoff, shared relevant insights from their fields.

Staying true to our early preplanning process, future host country candidates presented their bids for the 2026 End Year Conference, with Italy ultimately selected by member vote as next year’s vote.

The ExCom elections followed, with Marianne Blechingberg and Richard Lee re-elected to continue serving in their roles.

As always, the group photo captured the spirit of the day, growing in size but staying as engaged and connected as ever.

We concluded the conference with a well-deserved Gala Dinner, a fitting reward for the hard work behind what marked a new era in THLG conferences, rich in insight and meaningful networking.

The final days of our time together were spent at Breakbulk Europe, where 24 THLG member companies co-exhibited at our joint stand. The booth was buzzing throughout the event and our presence stood out thanks to the coordination and collaboration of everyone involved.

Thank you for making the 72nd THLG Conference a success. We look forward to seeing you again in Malaysia this November for our 2025 End Year Conference.
