THLG Members, I believe that we all had a good meeting and productive time in Antwerp this year. Thank you to all those that presented, sharing information about yourselves and the companies you represent. I believe there was good participation by all attending. Thanks to Marco for the Master Riggers Class room event on Tuesday. For those members departing the Executive Committee, thank you so much for your service and leadership to The Heavy Lift Group. For the new members coming into their roles as Executive Committee members, thank you for saying yes to this opportunity and for the service you about to provide to the group. I’d ask all of the members to continue to support the new and existing Executive Committee during their terms. There are many members responsible for the THLG meeting & Breakbulk conference going so well. Thanks to everyone for the roles you played. It was a job well done. There were many hours that went into the preparation for both. Handling all of the arrangements, required time and effort by many. Because of these efforts, we were are able to enjoy comfortable accommodations and a successful meeting. Your past Executive Committee members made all of this possible, Paul, Emre, Johann, Luis, Juergen and Jos. Breakbulk, a special thanks to Juergen for the extra effort required for coordinating companies to take advantage of the large foot print we consumed at the conference, one of the biggest stands at the show, from what I could see. In addition, Marlies & Marlies, really took good care of all of us within and around the THLG stand. They worked hard before, during and after the show, as Luis said that was “Priceless”. Marlies Osmers, as most of you know, secured the area for the stand, structured the contract, made the arrangements for the stand set up, removal & storage, food, drinks and for the expansion of our footprint in 2017. Incredible, to say the least. We’ll miss her moving forward. She has decided to follow Juergen into retirement. Closing thoughts, we will need other members to step up and help with the group. It’s as easy as saying “yes”. Everyone can help by simply being active and supportive of the group. Please support your new Executive committee, they will need your encouragement in the coming months. Power in Unity, we have almost 30 years to prove that. Best wishes to all.
