Lifting Van der Vlist to new heights (Part 1)

Van der Vlist, member of The Heavy Lift Group, has recently invested in a new Liebherr LHM-280 mobile port crane, with a lifting capacity of 84 tons. The dismantled crane has been transported, utilising Van der Vlist equipment, in 11 transports from the factory in Sunderland to the Van der Vlist Terminal in Moerdijk. The biggest piece is the undercarriage, weighing 72 tons, 5.49m wide and 3.50m high. The final sections will be delivered at the end of March, with the crane being planned for operational use before the end of April. This specific model was chosen as it suits our requirement for speed, capacity and outreach. This will enable us to continue serving our customers as efficiently as possible being active in industries like Wind, On/Offshore, Construction and Steel.
