Innovation and development is a key part of the ethos at Van der Vlist, member of The Heavy Lift Group. This was demonstrated recently through the acquisition of new 2 axle trucks and 3 axle extendable semi trailers. This combination keeps the weight to a minimum allowing cargo with a weight of up to 29ton to be loaded. The long aluminium ramps are a key feature of these trailers, which enable self-loading/unloading specifically designed for cargo with a low ground clearance. In this instance, buses. The extension on the trailer means that buses with a length of up to 18.7m can be transported with ease. The compact dimensions also give the advantage of being able to offer transport at a very competitive rate. The new equipment has become immediately involved, undertaking the transport of buses to Italy.
