The 63rd Conference, 19-21 October 2018

The 63rd Conference in Almaty, graciously hosted by Globalink, welcomed members with updates on finances, new memberships for D.C.S. Asta Logistik (Spain) and International for Transit & Transport (UAE), and a strong host presentation from Globalink. ExCom introduced new tools including a refreshed THLG presentation, defined job descriptions, updates to the Code of Conduct and application procedures, and new awards. Sponsorship funds were earmarked for a scholarship program and trainee exchanges. Highlights included successful one-to-one meetings fostering stronger collaboration, discussions on Breakbulk 2019 preparations, and a keynote on the Belt & Road Initiative. The gathering closed with a gala dinner, member gifts, and a cultural excursion, reinforcing unity and growth ahead of the 2019 Bremen meeting.
