THLG 59th Conference, 30 September – 2 October 2016

After our successful Conference & Breakbulk show in Antwerp May 2016, our next conference was held in Toronto, Canada.

The conference, chaired by Paul Furlonger, approved 2016 accounts and the 2017 budget, welcomed four new members (ECS Kenya, Moeller Survey Germany, Shin JO Logistics Korea, SOSERSID France), and discussed preparations for the group’s 30th anniversary. Website upgrades and social media growth were highlighted, alongside strong interest for the Breakbulk Exhibition, with Bremen confirmed for 2018. Guest speakers covered inland waterway transport and lashing best practices, while members shared key project updates. The next main meeting will be held in Antwerp in April 2017, with proposals for a second gathering later in the year in Cape Town, Memphis, or Kenya.
