Dear THLG members,
THLG’s 70th Conference is now behind us, leaving participants with a deep sense of satisfaction from the wonderful experiences we shared. The highlights? The dinners, conversations, laughs, and good wine! But there was so much more. Here’s a detailed recap of the event.
We kicked off with a Meet & Greet drinks session, sponsored by Barnhart, at the nicely prepared Park Centraal conference hall. This was followed by a Welcoming Dinner at Milu Bar & Restaurant, where new candidates mingled with members, getting to know each other before presenting their companies the next morning.
The Conference Day began early in the hotel’s garden with Seema Chattopadhyay of ProCam, India guiding members through some very helpful breathing techniques, setting a positive tone for the day.
During the conference, we welcomed five new members to the THLG family: Begoma Sweden, NMT Global Project Logistics Australia, Kobelco Japan, Kando Global Colombia, and JNC Logistics China.
Our ExCom provided insights into each one’s area of responsibility, and future host members presented their countries for the EYC 2025 vote. It was a close call, but Malaysia was chosen as our next destination!
The ExCom elections followed, maintaining the current composition. The day concluded with our traditional group photo, which despite the increasing numbers of participants, still shows the nice atmosphere that prevails in our conference.
The following day, we embarked on a day trip to Delft. We visited the Royal Delft Museum, witnessing the creation of the iconic blue Delft pottery, still handmade according to 19th-century traditions. A scenic canal cruise through Delft, complete with tasty snacks, rounded out the day.
The next three days were dedicated to the Breakbulk Exhibition. Once again, THLG shined with its modern, spacious booth, attracting hundreds of visitors daily. Whether they were seeking information about the network or meeting one of the 24 co-exhibitors and other member companies at the booth, everyone had positive feedback.
In summary, the 70th THLG Conference in The Hague was a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved.
