A Platform for Growth

Van der Vlist, member of The Heavy Lift Group, assisted with the assembly of a floating platform at our quay in Moerdijk. After testing, the assembled platform has been towed to London where it will be used as a working island. Our customer is the exclusive supplier of the modular Combifloat® pontoons. A wide variety of clients in the offshore and marine construction industry are using this flexible modular floating and elevating construction system, suitable for both coastal and inland waters. By means of a special but simple coupling and locking system, the units can be assembled to any project-specific configuration. Van der Vlist’s Moerdijk terminal has been selected as the general hub for storage , maintenance and assembly, because we have the ability to combine storage and technical assistance together with transport possibilities using our strategic location in the seaport of Moerdijk. Van der Vlist operates a privately-owned multi-purpose terminal in the port of Moerdijk. The terminal has a ro-ro quay and in addition to over 100,000m² of outdoor storage and over 20,000m² of indoor storage we can offer comprehensive services for transshipment and assembly using our own trucks and assistance by our own technical staff.
