‘Big’ Accomplishment in North Iraq

Kita logistics, a member of The Heavy Lift Group, moved more than 3,000 trailer loads from Turkey to Iraq recently involving in two major cement plant investments The project consists of apprx 100,000 cbm of breakbulk cargoes and around 1000 TEU’s which were received from South Turkish ports and moved to North Iraq. In order to have full control in every leg of the shipments our specialists were at standt by at the port, at Zakho border and at the delivery point for full coordination and planning Facing many obstacles throughout the project in terms cargo dimensions and weight, civil unrests in the region and severe weather conditions, the biggest challange was moving 8 mills as a convoy each with a diameter of approximately 6 mtrs. After several weeks of pre-studies, removing obstacles en route and road improvements on the way to the site, KITA Logistics managed to overcome all the difficulties and cargoes were safely delivered to the plants After successfully finalizing the project, KITA is even more enthusiastic for providing logistics services in many more major investments outside Turkey
