Caterpillar mining shovel on the move

With a total gross weight of 435.535 kilogram, a Caterpillar 6060FS has recently been transported in 35 pieces in a time frame of one week from the factory in Germany to the port of loading in Belgium. To transport all pieces in time, with the heaviest piece weighing 63 tonne, 16 separate loads were executed using a variety of Van der Vlist trucks and trailers. All parts were delivered in time and the seagoing vessel could depart as scheduled for final destination Australia.
