Dynamic Shipping Services – Replacement of funicular rail wagons

Dynamic Shipping Services, member of THLG, has been contracted to replace 4 funicular rail wagons at Haifa city. Dimensions of the wagons are L 16.50 x W 3.00 x H 3.00 meters and weight 20 MT. They had to be squeezed into a hole of 16.80 x 3.80 meters. Although the total length of each wagon is 16.50 meters, the wagon is like a parallelogram and in fact the diagonal length is about 17.20 meters so we had to hang it up with one side longer than other. About one year ago a fire broke in the tunnel and the two lower wagons were wasted completely, those were cut out and the upper wagons were taken out by our team. The 1st set of wagons has already been placed. Placing the 2nd set will require to block one of the major main streets of Haifa down town. “Hands on steel” as our moto says!
