Just in time

Van der Vlist, member of The Heavy Lift Group, was recently asked to assist with the transport of a complete forging press line. The heaviest load weighed in at 111T and the complete line was transported by a total of 50 separate trucks. Of this total, 25 out of gauge transports were handled with due care and diligence by implementing a vast variety of Van der Vlist equipment: modular axle lines, euro low loaders and semi low trailers from both our heavy and light departments. All cargo was transshipped via Antwerp port and was delivered on a just in time basis to the final destination Homburg. Just in time delivery, in a time frame of 2 months, was a special request of the customer in order to have the line built up consecutively and without delay. The press line with a total capacity of 6500T, will be operational before the end of this year.
