Van der Vlist, member of The Heavy Lift Group, arranged over 80 transports for a new windfarm in the north of France. In order to have all wind mill parts delivered in 2 weeks’ time, 12 trucks drove each working day from the port of Belgium to the project site. The same amount of escort cars and the help of the local police were needed to drive all components, of which some mounted to a width of 5 meters, safely via local roads to the final destination. The dedication of all parties involved made this challenging project to a success.
