Van der Vlist’s Groot-Ammers office was recently visited by two representatives of Komatsu Ltd, with the aim of reviewing the welding process. This specific audit focused on the welding of large dumper bodies for the trucks used in quarries and mines. In addition to a thorough examination of the welding quality, the documentation process was also carefully checked. We are proud to announce that Van der Vlist passed this special audit and received additional compliments regarding our on-site Quality Control system. In return, Van der Vlist was invited to compete for the fifth time in a row in the Komatsu UK Technical Olympics. Two of our mechanics put forth their very best efforts in the “Assembly” and “Machine Inspection” categories. Both demonstrated a high standard of quality and were rewarded for their displayed skills with a medal.
