Transportation of used construction equipment and mobile machinery has been a core element of Van der Vlist business for most of our 90 year history. Since Ritchie Brothers started with selling used machines in The Netherlands we have had an office at their auction site in Moerdijk.
For Van der Vlist, the Ritche Bros Auctions are in a great location as it is approximately 6km from our Port and Terminal Facility, Moerdijk. This allows us to receive both ro-ro and breakbulk vessels loaded with second hand machines at the terminal for transshipment to and from trailers for the short drive to the auction.
As you can see from the photos, we recently received machines in a breakbulk vessel, whereby they were lifted from the hold using our own 84T capacity port crane.
Our Moerdijk facility offers great flexibility with customs bonded area, wash bay and paint booth as well as fully equipped workshops enabling modification, repair and assembly / dismantling of part. This allows us to offer a complete package for both buyers, sellers and auctioneers of used machines.
