The phone of the Riedl & Tschierschke GmbH in Karben a member of the RIEDL Group rang. A client wanted a new approach for the assembly of a water pressure control press in Germany. This had to be built in a very short stationary phase. The machine had a length of about 30m and a total weight of more than 600t. The 8 major parts that made up the machine, lay in a weight range from 25t to 160t. Riedl & Tschierschke delivered as a sole a solution to unload all the parts on the shop floor and move them into the foundation. Precisely for this constellation of problems "little room, low ceiling load, high weights, very long components (Items with 28m length)", the Riedl & Tschierschke GmbH has in recent years built up a lot of know-how and an extensive technical equipment. These include hydraulic masts, hydraulic rotators, hydraulic displacement tracks and electric indoor mobile cranes. The rough assembly of the press was performed to the satisfaction of our customers, predetermining the time window of one week in two shifts.
