Recently, we have successfully handled a big project of power distribution system for Siemens Ltd., China. The shipments, including transformers main bodies together with related spare parts, contain four pieces of 98tons, 5 pieces of 88tons, 2 pieces of 53tons, as well as 77 SOC containers and 1232CBM breakbulk cargoes. The main challenge was because the final consignee is located in Sumatra Selagtan, Malaysia, which means we had to arrange not only the main shipping from Shanghai, China to Singapore, but also the connecting barges in Singapore. We have also successfully finalized the procurement of 77 different types of containers in Shanghai, as well as planning and booking suitable main vessels and regional barges.
The success of this project demonstrates Seajet’s strong capabilities of organizing and controlling extensive sources in and out of China. All cargoes were finally arriving at the Mill’s jobsite safety and on time. Seajet’s great efforts and professional action are cherished by Siemens, not only in China, but also worldwide.
