Holleman Bulgaria, a member of The Heavy Lift Group, has delivered two locomotives from Slovakia to Bulgaria, each having 13.86 x 3.05 x 4.19 m and 72 MT.
Both machines were loaded on board of a vessel in Bratislava and delivered four days later in port Ruse, Bulgaria for further transport by trucks to Turkey. In Ruse a floating crane with capacity 100 MT was used for the offloading. The water level of the Danube was critically low but thanks to the good coordination between the crane owner, ship owner, port authorities and Holleman’s team the operation was completed within few hours without any problems.
