The MTBE (Methyl Tert-Butyl Ether) plant production project is a significant achievement by THLG member Ipsen Logistics, Algeria, showcasing their expertise in handling complex logistics. With a total volume of 150,000 FRT, the project involved containers, break bulk, and heavy/oversized cargo over a one-year contract.
Ipsen managed port handling, customs clearance, road permits, civil works, and cargo transport from Arzew Port to the Arzew Industrial Zone, 7 kilometers away. Despite the short distance, the operation required overcoming significant obstacles, including removing walls, pylons, and roundabouts, and constructing bypasses. A highlight was transporting the largest ODC package, a 245 MT tower measuring 68.2 x 7.2 x 7.45 meters, using a 42-axle modular hydraulic trailer.
This project exemplifies the strength of the THLG network, proving that our members are equipped to handle even the most demanding logistics challenges with precision and expertise.
