Building on the concept of consolidation of consignments to provide maximum cost benefit to the customers MFC was successfully able to consolidate consignments from 3 major Engineering organizations.
The entire operation entailed transporting 13 ODC consignments by surface simultaneously from 3 locations to 2 loading ports of Gujarat. And then moving them by sea to Eranakulam Wharf (BPCL Kochi).
This movement was not merely just a multi modal movement but was ground breaking on three accounts for transporting consignments from Erankulam Wharf to BPCL Kochi.
– For the first time a movement of a consignment weighing 146 tons took place crossing 5 bridges.
– For the first time a consignment having a Width of 7 meters & Height of 7.7m was transported on this route.
– The movement of 13 ODC consignments on a single Barge happened for the first time at Eranakulam Wharf.
The entire operation entailed a high level of synchronization from multiple locations, agencies & customers.
