THE RIEDL GROUP – Transformers from Europe to New Jersey, USA

Rolf Riedl GmbH, Member of THLG, are proud to present the following project: 1 Transformer weighing: 226.000,00 kgs / 498,245.00 pounds + 1 Transformer weighing: 291.000,00 kgs / 641,545.00 pounds + accessories. From Europe to New Jersey, USA. During this project, the Riedl Group covered all interfaces from the Port in Europe to the site in New Jersey. Due to the support from our colleagues of Riedl North America our new office in Alabama, USA we were able to survey the whole transport chain as following: The project included the triple use of a floating crane, a barge transfer and the on-carriage on site with the several use of flyovers to span bridges and cable channels. Finally we had to build a rigging platform in front of the foundations and jacked up each unit to a height of approx. 254 cm / 100 inches to slide the units over the containment wall and jack it down safely onto the final foundation.
