Transport of 176 ton reactor for Mutun Project (Bolivia)

Altius Bolivia has completed the transport and delivery of a reactor 176 ton, 26 m length and 7 m diameter.

The shipment started at the port of Zarate, Argentina, where a direct transshipment from ship to barge, a first-ever at the Zarate Port, took place. Subsequently, the reactor was transported over 2,750 km by the Paraná-Paraguay waterway to Puerto Jennefer in Bolivia.

Two cranes (Liebherr LG 1750 and Demag CC 2500) were positioned by Altius at the port to unload the reactor, which was then transported on a 14 rows hydraulic modular trailer to final destination at Mutun Project site.
