Last week, DAHER Industrial Project Transport team handled in a single batch 6000 FRT of construction machinery from North Europe to Mediterranean. 375 equipment, mostly rolling material, have been loaded by the 380 mtons vessel ramp and her 2×240 Mtons cranes. DAHER provides to Client port loading assistance, part-charter booking and global shipment management to destination. This contract is operated for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project. It will connect Shah Deniz II gas field in Azerbaijan to European consumer area across Greece, Albania and Italy. The Shah Deniz field is the largest gas field in Azerbaijan. It is located in the Caspian Sea. It is operated by a consortium including BP, StatoilHydro, Total S.A. The natural gas from the Shah Deniz field is supplied especially to Europe via a system of pipelines existing part, described under the generic name of the southern corridor.
